Red roses, or a ring.
But right now things are tough, I'm broke,
And can't buy you a thing.

I know that glitz and glam,
Are not the reasons we're good friends.
We're down-to-earth, see eye-to-eye,
And neither one pretends.

So lift your heart and hold it high,
Then fill it with Sunshine.
Now tell me swift and tell me true,
You'll be my Valentine.

Where I Am

I dip my toes,
In the serene pool of surrender.
Standing on the shore,
Waiting to make sure it's safe.
Watching shadows grow taller,
Feeling the darkness grow smaller.
The sun now at my back,
And the road rises to greet me.
The Way to go is forward,
Treading now with no feet.
